sO i STARTED THIS GROUP WITH MY BFF CALLED GOALFRIENDS....Oh much better. Caps Lock was on. Anywhoo, yesterday (New Years Eve) I read an article in Success Mag by Tony Robbins. Much to my surprise, I really liked the article and Mr. Robbins, which inspired me to workout again this week. But, I digress.... Goalfriends is a group of friends, boys and girls, who just encourage and inspire eachother to keep up being healthy and have postive attitudes. So I did P90X, Day 2, Week 2, Plyometrics. Which is code apparently for Jump Training, and as promised, sufficiently kicked my arse. In a good way. Then after going to church with my four children, my husband, and my mom last night to ring in the new year praising Jesus, coming home at 12:30 AM, then watching a film until 2:43 Am (of which after the first 30 minutes I properly fell asleep), I commited to going running with my friend Tabitha and her friend who is now my new friend, Amy at 9:15 this morning, for a full hour, and in 35 degree weather.
Of course now, I cannot feel my legs as they have been properly frozen and overworked (remember Plyometrics (jump training) yesterday?) yeah. Maybe not such a great idea, but my body feels great and I can actually feel the extra flesh I have accumulated after the past 7 years of being prego, starting to suck itself back into the ether, as I see it disappearing, but to where I know not.
And to give you an update of how the Terracotta Army at the High Museum went a few days ago with the four kiddos, honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. They all did amazing and they were all very well behaved and sweet. But Jonathan and I are amazing parents, so how could I expect anything less? Hopefully as they grow, everything we are laboring to teach them about; manners, love, Jesus, fun, the importance of family, will not disappear into the ether with my excess flesh.
